To state the obvious, America has a cultural problem. Mass shootings have become a normal thing. Something needs to be done. The answer, to me, isn't purely legislation or purely cultural. Both are needed for any real change. At work last week I heard shouting all of a sudden. My first instinct was to duck and run. It was people cheering and taunting while shooting basketball for charity. It's not right to be in a place where your first thought is people are yelling because there's an active shooter at work. It's not right to have to worry every day, deep down, that there may be an active shooter at your child's school. I'm not arrogant enough to think that I have the solution but I will be a part of it.
